Just Dance

I finally have my little art studio set up (by which, I mean I bought a desk and put it in the spare room). It really does make a difference to have you're own creative space, and I feel like, in just this week, I've already made so much progress. It's nice to not be weighed down by my crippling disappointment for once (cue streams of anime tears).

Today, I thought I'd just post a small character reference page on dancing, because the poses were suuuuper fun. Also, a man was drawn and he doesn't look as awful as all previous man drawings have looked so, WINNING.

Sashay.. Away!

FREEDOM

The Bible thing has taken me the better part of 4 days. Mostly, because I have to do horrible adult things in between. Like you know, work.

Ew.

Anywho, I thought I'd share a few of my favourite scenes because doing the backgrounds was pretty fun. And after procrastinating it very hard, me and the donkey ended up being bros.

There are lots of stars, and I like it.

Bb Isaac is adorbz.

Don't care about the other losers but the donkey and me are besties.

Casually going up the mountain to sacrifice your only child, as you do.

Scary thunder voice. Boom. I loved shading this.

Sassy Angel is sassy.

Spoiler alert; the ram dies.

Speaking of leaving. Bye.

Biblical Backgrounds

So a friend of mine is an avid Jesus supporter and regularly helps out at kids clubs at her church. Of course, these kids clubs are focused on stories about God-ish things right? Duh.

She asked me to help create some pictures for the story of Abraham. You know, the guy who God orders to kill his son on a mountain, for shits and giggles.

This is pretty much based off of the poster I did for her in December but I thought I'd post some of my progress so far. I'm now working on the people, but here are some of the backgrounds I've done so far.

Namaste.

Wax On, Wax Off

Small post today! I've recently had a word with myself and I decided I need to work on my self discipline. Thus, at least 30 mins of life drawing 3 or 4 times a week is now a-go! So far, I've been getting slightly carried away and done 1-2 hours instead. Oh well.

I thought I'd share it anyway. It's not actual life drawing, just from a website. I know it isn't the same but I really don't have the time for people watching in town. Besides, its faaaaaar too cold to leave my house unless the world is ending right now...

I would do more right now even, but I'm making Pad Thai tonight, and food is life so. Bye.

Heavenly Favours

So my holy friend is always asking for favours for her church. I try to oblige as much as I can stand. I tend to help on things that are for kids clubs, because if anything is good about her church it's that their community and support for each other is phenomenal. I applaud mucho-ly.

It's a poster about the Abraham guy who took his only child up a mountain to murder him because God told him so. At least that's how I remember it.

Until next time. Which may be a while because I keep forgetting to post. Oops.

All about ME

Doodles doodles doodles. Its a cartoon interpretation of me! That jumper, is the jumper I wear for 90% of the winter. True story.

And those are the harem pants I wore for 50% of my month in Japan. Real life stuff here my dudes. I still need to work a lot more on having a freer hand while drawing. Think some life drawing is long overdue. Wish me luck!

A Man and His Love

Hola amigos!

By amigos, I mean friends, and by friends I mean, strangers on the inter-ma-thing. Potato, tomato.

Anywho, my inner drawing spirit appears to have resurrected from a three year coma, yay. Miracles can happen. So I'm just having fun doing some thangs. No pressure, just fun.

This drawing is essentially my life, as a third-wheel between my man and my dog. Its sad, but true. It's a running joke in my house that they both love each other more than they will ever love me.

Ha. Ha. It's hilarious...

I have actually done a short comic strip about it. Maybe I'll share it one day.
